LB celebrates Mother’s Day!

This year for Mother’s Day, the team at LB organized a photoshoot featuring the moms of our dear employees. The moms had the opportunity to select the shoe brand that they and their children would be wearing for the shoot, whether it’s their favourite or it evoked memories from their youth. After their memorable day, the moms left with their pairs and shared insights of their experience and what this celebration meant for them.
The complicity between Vanessa, our marketing coordinator, and her mom Catherine was amazing. Catherine decided on Birkenstock, the perfect summer brand.
What do you cherish most about your relationship?
That we are able to grow together as women and learn from each other.
How was the experience shooting with LB and your daughter?
The shoot with LB and my daughter was the best mother’s gift anyone could ask for, not to mention having these pictures as a cherished memory.
Would you ever wear that brand when you were younger? Can we find this brand in your closet today?
I actually used to sell Birkenstocks at one of my first jobs. Birkenstock sandals are in my closet – they are the perfect summer “go-to”.
With Dr. Martens on their feet, Sophie, our content and social media coordinator, and her mom Marie-Claude had a great blast in our studio.
What do you cherish most about your relationship?
The small joys shared daily, exchanging on various subjects, and hearing my children’s thoughts and opinions take form, even when our opinions diverge, and watching my beautiful daughter become a woman.
How was the experience shooting with LB and your daughter?
Very well. The team was very professional. It was also impressive for me to experience my daughter’s workplace and watch her talents come to life. I am so proud of her!
Why did you choose Dr. Martens?
Dr. Martens, to me, is linked to a pleasant part of my life. During my early 20s, I was a student and only had one pair of shoes which were Dr. Martens! They are very durable and comfortable while giving you that one of a kind look.
Would you ever wear that brand when you were younger?
Yes, I had olive green laced-up shoes with a worn-in look that I kept for many years. I was constantly wearing them from September to June, inside and outside.
Happy Mother’s Day! Do you guys have anything planned for next weekend?
Nothing too crazy. Sunday, I plan on relaxing, and my son will drop by for a little visit and maybe we will go grab some brunch at a nearby restaurant.
How was the experience shooting with LB and your son?
We had a lot of fun! It was a great experience to check out the office where my son works and meet his co-workers. There were a lot of good laughs, so it made the shoot very pleasant and allowed us to not take ourselves too seriously. Also, it was a great way to create fun new memories with my son!
Why did you choose adidas?
I remember in the late 80’s and early 90’s, adidas was the top brand if you were into the emerging hip-hop and rap scene. The song “My Adidas” by Run- DMC was an anthem that influenced an entire generation to wear adidas Superstars and shaped my teenage and young adult years.
