Dancing Soles

Every move tells a story

In partnership with Reebok, Little Burgundy brought together five young dancers from Quebec and Ontario for an intensive weekend-long dance workshop. With the advice and expertise of renowned dancer Kim Gingras, the Dancing Soles project emerged.

With Reeboks on their feet and united through dance, the Dancing Soles participants engaged in a completely new exercise: learning a choreographed dance in a professional setting with people they had just met. It took no time for them to open up to others, to strengthen their confidence and let their differences shine on the dancefloor.

Upon their arrival, the dancers, Aurélie, May, Zomi, Sally-Eva and Michael, met with Kim for the first time. Before jumping right into dancing, Kim wanted the participants to take part in a few meditation and self-confidence exercises in order to start the workshop on the right foot. After that, the dancers were able to showcase their talent while learning the dance choreographed by Kim.

On the second day, you could feel the excitement in the air as the final dance would be filmed later that day. During the dress rehearsal, the dancers, with their hair and makeup done and dressed by Reebok from head to toe, had to adapt to the camera crew and the accessories around them. With a few adjustments here and there, our participants were finally ready to give it their all and bring to light everything they had learned.
